In the beginning, I bought a roll of blue duct tape to fix my brother’s bean bag chair, which had ripped from frequent stair-sliding on it. After my mom stole it to cover a couple’s honeymoon bed, it became obvious that it was not going to be returned, so she bought me a new roll; this time, it was green.
The first thing I made was (surprise surprise) a duck! I wrapped some rolled-up tissues in the tape. As you can probably guess, it turned out to be absolutely terrible. Next, I made a very small purse with a $1 roll of silver duct tape. I got some friends and people I knew to sign it, and decided I could make a purse that I could actually fit my stuff into.
I started buying more duct tape. I continued to make purses, and started to make a few wallets. I also tried to make a pair of flip-flops. I started to make my “projects” better. I also started getting more compliments on my creations =) Then, a very kind person I know gave me about 9 rolls of duct tape. Some of them were 60 yards, long and had barely been used. I was used to the 15-20 yard rolls! I was very excited. I started trying out more ideas that I had been waiting to try.
Now I’ve made things I never thought would have come from my own hands a few months before. I want to start selling things that I make on the website as well as to people I already know, as I’m not exactly a $100aire. I hope to one day perfect the art of making fun and useful things out of the sticky stuff. Til I type again ~ Becky

When I saw the cool things Becky was making, my fingers were itching to join in. I helped her make a choker, and then went wild searching the Internet for more ideas.
Looking for good duct tape sites was way too hard, and after only finding a few sites that took ages to navigate, we jumped on the idea of making our own. We wanted to put all the good ideas we found in one place, along with everything else people would need.
Some readers are saying we should make things to sell them, but I’m far too lazy for that!
Check out our links if you’d like an expert to make you a bag or something cool. There are lots of choices for a unique and lasting design. ~ Sally
